Winter is a great time to start a schoolyard bird study. Whether you’re an experienced birder or a novice, you’ll come away from this workshop with the confidence that you can help your students discover the fascinating world of local birds. We’ll explore numerous ways to launch and sustain a winter schoolyard bird study and share plenty of resources and activities, including setting up a bird feeding station, simple identification techniques, and schoolyard habitat mapping.
