Description

Take your photography skills to the next level and your knowledge of our local odes – dragonflies and damselflies–with wildlife photographer and ode adorer Frank Gorga. We will cover the basics of odonate (dragonfly and damselfly) biology and various approaches to photographing these insects, including a review of cameras and lenses. The second and third meetings will be field sessions at local wetlands, photographing these flying beauties.

Prior to the first class, participants will be given information about photographic gear and tips on how to prepare for spending time outside around wetlands, with the possibility of getting a bit wet!

Frank Gorga is a former chemistry professor who has taken up nature photography in retirement. He

lives in Antrim. Examples of his work can be found at: www.frg-photo.com.
