Have you always wanted to teach your students about insects but weren’t sure where to start? Join the Harris Center for this full-day workshop exploring the largest class in the animal kingdom! Through field investigations and close observation, we’ll examine insect anatomy and life cycles, practice basic identification skills, and try out student-friendly collection techniques you can confidently use in your classroom. You’ll leave with ready-to-use lesson ideas aligned with NGSS across grade levels, practical strategies for managing outdoor insect studies, and materials to help you launch insect investigations right away.
