Description

Join wildlife biologist Mark Ellingwood for a short course on the natural history of New Hampshire’s wild turkeys. Learn about the seasonal behavior, habitat use, and population dynamics of these adaptable birds, and how to identify turkey sign in your local woodlands. We’ll also discuss how turkeys were restored to our state, and how they’re currently managed. 

 

Mark Ellingwood is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with 41 years of professional wildlife experience, including deer research and management in New York and Connecticut. As the former Game Program Supervisor and recently retired Wildlife Division Chief for New Hampshire Fish and Game, Mark has been heavily involved with wildlife research and management in New Hampshire for the past 27 years.
