Description

Thursday, January 30, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Storrow Park in Lawrence, Massachusetts

Venture out of the Monadnock Region this winter to witness a murder…of crows, that is. Join fellow Corvid enthusiasts Dan Gardoqui and Phil Brown in the urban wilds of downtown Lawrence, Massachusetts, where we’ll observe the massive winter roost of American Crows, which draws nearly 20,000 birds each night. Afterward, we may continue the conversation over food and drink (optional). Snow date: February 4.

Phil Brown is Bird Conservation Director at the Harris Center. In addition to connecting people to the natural world, Phil’s work for the Harris Center includes managing the Pack Monadnock Raptor Observatory and conservation projects focused on American Kestrels and Broad-winged Hawks. Phil lives in Hancock with his family.

Dan Gardoqui is a bird-curious mammal with over 30 years of experience in bird language and wildlife tracking. He runs Lead with Nature, which offers nature-based consulting, training, and guide services.
